The Ministry of Health officially welcomed three specialist medical doctors from Nigeria during a welcome and introductory ceremony on Monda September 21st, 2026. The arrival of the specialists marks the start of a two-year deployment at the General Hospital, aimed at enhancing clinical care and strengthening national healthcare delivery.
The visiting delegation includes:
Dr. Sabiu Muhammed Hamza (Cardiologist): Providing specialized diagnosis and management for cardiovascular conditions.
Dr. Ejezie Chijioke Chukwuemeka (Anesthesiologist): Supporting surgical and emergency care teams with specialized anesthesia administration.
Dr. Amatare Dinyain (Pathologist): Enhancing diagnostic accuracy and laboratory services to support patient management.
The welcoming ceremony was attended by Minister for Health, Hon. Philip Telesford; High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H.E. Manwe Jerrymon Samuel; Directors of the General Hospital; and representatives from the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC).
The General Hospital extends a warm welcome to Dr. Hamza, Dr. Chukwuemeka, and Dr. Dinyain, looking forward to their impactful contributions over their two-year tenure.
