Government Launches Cost of Living Assistance Programme Featuring Six VAT-Free Days

To provide financial relief to households, the Office of the Prime Minister of Grenada has officially announced the launch of its Cost-of-Living Assistance Programme. The initiative offers consumers six designated VAT-free shopping days over the next three months to benefit from this programme.

Shoppers can enjoy 0% Value Added Tax (VAT) on eligible goods when purchasing from participating VAT-registered businesses nationwide. The initiative aims to lower the cost of essential household items, providing some added relief where it counts.

Official VAT-Free Shopping Dates

  • August: August 28 – 29

  • September: September 25 – 26

  • October: October 30 – 31

The government is encouraging consumers to save these dates and plan their household purchasing ahead of time to make the most of these temporary relief windows.
