B'S Foundation Host Back to School Giveaway in Marquis

The B'S Foundation, founded by Grenadian-born Brooklyn resident Beverly Joseph, is set to host its annual Back to School Giveaway on Sunday, August 23rd, starting at 4:00 PM at the Marquis Basketball Court.

Under the theme "Preparing Our Youth for a Brighter Tomorrow!", the event will see 107 backpacks packed with essential school supplies distributed to students from Marquis and neighboring communities.

Speaking on her motivation for launching the initiative, founder Beverly Joseph shared with The Spice Link how deeply meaningful it is to give back to her roots:

"As the founder, being able to give back to my community makes me feel deeply grateful, proud, and fulfilled. It is a blessing to be in a position where I can make a positive difference in the lives of others. Seeing the smiles, appreciation, and impact our efforts have on the people of Marquis and surrounding communities reminds me why I started in the first place.

"What inspires me to give back to the community of Marquis and its surrounding areas is the love I have for my community and the desire to see it grow and prosper. I believe that when we give our time, skills, and support to others, we help create a stronger and more united community."
